Our daunting 9m climbing wall presents a challenge to all; from complete beginners to the more accomplished climbers. It is difficult to appreciate just how much climbing can contribute to your overall fitness and strength until you have tried it! So why not give it a go today. It will also help to develop other important life skills such as teamwork, self-confidence and stamina.
Courses run throughout the year for those wishing to learn more about this growing sport, and clubs run weekly for those wishing to enhance their existing skills and improve their fitness and strength. Courses and clubs are run by qualified staff who are here to teach, advise and reassure.
Please contact the centre should you wish to be included in the next beginners course. Club sessions can be booked in advance, multi session passes are available offering a discount on sessional prices. Clubs currently run at the following times each week…
6.00pm – 7.15pm (Juniors)
7.15pm – 8.30pm (Juniors)
6.15pm – 7.30pm (Juniors – from 11th October)
5.15pm – 6.30pm (Junior Course)
6.30pm – 7.45pm (Adults)

This running club takes you through the beautiful Ribble Valley. The group run on average between 7k and 10k and is aimed an intermediate level. Participants use the sessions to train for local 10k race events. Running Club is every Monday and Thursday at 6pm and is free to everyone.
Free to all members, our weekly bootcamp sessions will put you through your paces. For all ages and abilities, the bootcamp is a great way to improve your fitness levels. Bootcamp times are weekly on a Thursday @ 6.15am – 7am. This session is FREE TO ALL(16+), and we would encourage you to give us a call on 01200 442188 to book your space TODAY!

This week saw the semi finals and final being played in the handicap indoor bowling held at Roefield Leisure Centre. In the first semi Read beat French Connection by ten shots. In the second semi final Waddington Blue defeated Salesbury Tigers by nine shots. The final was a surprisingly a one way affair from beginning to end with Waddington Blue running out winners over Read by fifty nine shots to seventeen.
The final was followed by a presentation and buffet. The awards were presented by Clitheroe Town Mayor Councillor Pat Dowson. Next year as well as awards there will be prize money for various categories as well as trophies.
