12 Week Mind and Body Transformation – Class Descriptions

WELCOME INTRODUCTION
In this session we will explain how the 12 weeks will run, how to get you started counting your calories, what classes and exercises are best for you and how we will try to keep you motivated throughout the 12 weeks so you stay on track. Please try to attend on of the welcome sessions allocated on your planner
WEIGH IN DROP IN SESSIONS
No need to book. You can come for a weekly weigh in on any of allocated time slots on your planner.
MINDFULNESS
The Mindfulness Taster sessions, led by Stephen Blackburn will be experiential and will teach people how to adopt a Mindful approach to life.
BOXFIT
Learn how to box in partners using pads and gloves. We will teach you how to punch correctly and learn various drills to intensity the workout. Boxing is not just a great way to get rid of stress but it’s also an amazing cardio and core workout.
DIET/RECIPE & NUTRITIONAL ADVICE WORKSHOP
Food tasting, calorie counting, diet advice and recipes that you can take away with you are all part of the workshops to give you more know knowledge and confidence in the kitchen. We will have a coffee whilst trying out some of the home made food and simply chat about nutrition and share ideas. This session is very relaxed, and feel free to bring any of your recipes with you to share with the rest of the group.
EFT FOR BODY POSITIVITY
During our 45 minute session Tania will guide you on how to use transformational EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) tapping to set positive intentions for body positivity and motivation. EFT is an incredibly effective tool that can be used on a wide variety of issues and during the session you will be given guidance on how to use this as a self-help tool.
GUIDED MEDITATION FOR CHAKRA BALANCING
In this guided meditation session Tania will work on harmonising the mind, body and spirit with a chakra balancing session to deeply soothe you and balance your energy system. During the guided meditation Tania will also channel intuitive energy healing to help instil a sense of peace.
INTRODUCTION TO RUNNING
Roefield Run Club leader Michaela will take you on a very easy gentle run suitable for anyone who is new to running or coming back after a long time. Michaela is a very experienced runner and has been running since she was 11. Competing in various races over the years, she has lots of tips and advice to get you started. Don’t be afraid of being at the back. There will help and support so don’t think you are not fit enough!
CIRCUIT
A Circuit training class is a cardio workout designed to elevate the heart rate so you burn calories and challenge your fitness. There will be different stations that vary from weights, abs and cardio exercises. All levels of abilities welcome.
FUN RUN
Now you have the tools to be able to run. Michaela will take you on a different route and give you options to do a longer run or adapt the route to suit your level.
GUIDED MEDITATION FOR MINDFULNESS AND DEEP RELAXATION
This guided meditation with energy healing led by Tania, will help to bring you into a state of peace and relaxation to promote stress relief and deep relaxation.
STRESS MANAGEMENT
Stress Solutions will give delegates practical tools and tips to manage stress.
CIRCUIT CHALLENGE
At this point you will start to see and feel changes in your body and fitness levels. Therefore we increase the intensity, alter the exercises and take your fitness to the next level!
EFT TO COMBAT SELF-SABOTAGE & SUPPORT YOUR PROGRESS
Sustaining long term mind and body transformations can be challenging so the focus of this EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) session will be to tap on the ways in which we self-sabotage our healthy goals to overcome these and reinforce our positive intentions.
STRETCH & UNSTRESS
Stretching is an incredibly important part of any exercise routine. Not only does it keep the muscles healthy to protect the joints, but it prevents injury, is an integral part of rehab and allows the body to rebalance after exercise. There will be a variety of stretches ranging from static stretches to dynamic and PNF. All levels of flexibility welcome!
ROEFIELD RAMBLE
The route and distance will be decided at a later date and but we will no doubt take you on a tour of the beautiful Ribble Valley. Anyone is welcome to come along to this session so bring your dogs, kids and any family member along who would like to participate.
