Tuesdays 5.30 – 7.00 Advanced ( Yr 6/7 ) Coach – Sara Thompson
Improvers – This course is for those children that have experienced a term or more coaching at school or at Roefield. It will build upon the basic netball specific skills of footwork and ball control as well as developing the individual fundamental skills of balance, agility and coordination. The sessions are fast moving and enjoyable, with lots of opportunities to engage in team invasion games, small sided matches and High Five match play. High Five is the game designated by All England Netball to be played by yrs 5/6). Participants will be able to take part in friendly matches, local tournaments and leagues if they are interested.
Advanced – These training sessions are for those girls who have experienced over a year of coaching and have had experience of competitive play. Participants should be keen to advance their basic skills, and will work on developing ball control, movement skills, court strategy, individual positional play and team work. It is hoped to run two performance squads, from this training group to play in local leagues and tournaments, so a greater level of application and commitment will be expected from those involved.
